I’ve been dealing with my check emission system light coming on and my car randomly shutting off while driving. Since I had just bought a new battery from AutoZone, I went back for them to check it and run a free emissions test. After looking it over, they told me my EGR valve needed to be replaced and quoted me $400.

Trying to compare prices, I called another shop that immediately wanted $150 just for a diagnosis… not including labor or parts.
